Art Deco Qing Dynasty Carved Natural Jadeite Jade & Carnelian 14K Gold Necklace
A colorful and beautiful original Art Deco piece from a 1930s estate, comprising of carved natural untreated Jadeite Jade pendant, bi pi discs, and carnelian plaques, all hand-carved from the Qing dynasty period (pre-1911), set with fancy-link filigree 14K yellow gold. The pendant is mottled green Jadeite with double-sided carving of flowers and birds and measuring 1-5/8 x ¾. Further accentuated with three (3) meticulously hand-carved orange carnelian plaques, double-sided, the largest measuring 28.68 mm in diameter (1-1/8), and four (4) bi or pi disc, the largest measuring approximately 25.76 mm (1). Marked 14K on the clasp. Condition: In overall very good condition as shown on photos. Please examine the photos closely and enlarge them for details. Some photos make the carnelian look darker, but the color is orange and not red. The photos are an important part of the description.
